Mr. Santiago joined SBS International in 2024, supported by 20 years of experience in the education sector, and as a  graduate of New York’s leading university for Accounting and Finance, Santiago bridges the gap between Business Administration and school leadership. His journey in education started at age 16 within the New York public school system. By collaborating with leaders on student-centred programmes, he not only learned the mechanics of school operations but also gained the adaptability needed to navigate and respect a wide range of cultural backgrounds. He has been in a leadership role since 2018, with a clear focus and commitment on improving the educational experience of all teachers and students.

 

Santiago’s leadership style is deeply rooted in his personal life; as the oldest of eight siblings, he naturally stepped into a role defined by responsibility, care, and a steady sense of optimism. He is known for his positive outlook and his commitment to fostering a joyful, supportive environment for his peers and staff. His educational philosophy is founded on equity and global citizenship, driven by the conviction that every student has the potential to be led in making a meaningful impact on the world.
